The Book of the Blog

Today sees the end of Lockdown in Victoria and to me, it seems rather appropriate to celebrate the return of semi-freedom, that I should be launching the book of the Pommie Sheila blog.  We still can’t travel abroad for the foreseeable future but at least we can finally spread our clipped wings and go out and enjoy life again and if outdoors, we are not required to wear a mask for which I am grateful as it’s getting quite warm.  Lockdown for us was not nearly as challenging for those poor souls living in Melbourne because unlike them, we country folks were able to get out and about, go shopping and see a limited number of friends.

I spent much of Lockdown putting together a book of the Pommie Sheila blog.  I wiled away the hours transferring each episode of my blog into book format, adding more photographs and performed some much needed editing.  The book isn’t by any stretch perfect and I have no doubt you will find spelling and grammatical errors but perhaps that’s part of its character?

If you’d like a copy of The Pommie Sheila Book of the Blog, it’s available for purchase on the Blurb website. Click on the photo below to go to the book sales site:

Meanwhile life carries on, we have two new lambs, Bella and Mini who were born as it were, the wrong side of the bed sheets (whoops…) but are very sweet and their young mums are doing a grand job. Here’s Bella and her mum Cords.

Here’s a few photos from the past few weeks:

I will write a more newsy blog nearer Christmas which will include missives of my forthcoming post Lockdown adventure which I’m so excited about.  Meanwhile dear friends, particularly those in the UK, keep safe and well. XXX

  1. Lovely photos Milla and good to see you looking so cheerful in these difficult times. We think about you a lot and see Mum from time to time.
Here in England we cannot say that we have reached the beginning of the end of coronavirus, but we may have passed the end of the beginning.

    1. Thank you George and Maggie and we think of you all a lot too! Who knows when they’ll let us travel home again – I’m hoping sometime next year. We’ll have to have a round of golf, I’m really enjoying it, very much a beginner but I came 3rd in our beginners group last week, won a ball and got my name in the paper! Fame at last 🤣.
      Much love to you both
